As a growing small business, day to day tasks can at times be overwhelming; keeping track of new tenants, resolving repair requests, working on advertising material, educating oneself, looking for new growth opportunities and the list goes on.

Sometimes we are all too busy to stop and think about what makes us tick, our values and how we live by them and how we can work to improve them.

Our Goal for the new year, would be to let our mission, vission and core values permeate our culture, our minds and our goals; your mission statement should be a foundation for an enlightened organization.

As a customer service based company, if it was not for the satisfaction of our guest we would not be in business but that does not mean we should not continue to strive for excellence. So back to the "Thou Shalt Be Caring,"  I think this statement is one that can/should be meditated on daily, putting oneself before your own needs goes a long way. We always "try" to go out of the way to make guest comfortable, but at times we do fail. Meditating on our mission, values, "thou shalt be caring" will help eliminate error, and conitune to help reach our goal "peace of mind" for our guests.

The Sanskrit greeting Namaste expresses the intent;  "The divine in me bows to the divin in you"

RocRooms is sponsoring a kickball league! All games are on Saturdays and you need to be 21 to participate. There is also a female quota for each team we form. The minimum is 4 women on a team of 10.

The season starts in March, and if we have more than 20 people we might be able to split into two teams. Per person pricing will be figured out once we have an accurate roster. Default pricing for the league is $450 per team.

RocRooms and Rentals is not "just" a rental company. We realize the importance of providing programs that allow students to have fun while furthering their education.

Our core values include having fun and giving back, and this new program encompasses both of these! If you are taking a photography class, or just love to take pictures, then this may be right up your alley!

Our goal for this program is to provide an extra incentive for students who may be able to use this for a project worth school credit, are looking for work experience for their resume or a reference for a future job. Of course, we will provide some CASH for pictures used in our ads.

We would really like to get some feedback on this idea!

We will provide a site for all students to upload their pictures of our properties. The ones we choose as the best photographs will be featured in our advertising and Facebook page. We will also pay the photographer $10 per accepted picture.

The Summer Student Housing Scholarship awards the full cost of a RocRooms off campus room for the summer semester (5/15/2010 to 8/28/2010). The scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence, individual character and need. To be officially entered, please fill out the application form and personal statement below.
